Process

How a Basement Finishing Job Runs

01

Moisture & code check

We look for water history, headroom, egress, and panel capacity — and tell you honestly if something has to be fixed first.

02

Layout planning

Lounge, bar, gym, guest suite, theater — we lay out rooms around the existing mechanicals instead of boxing them in.

03

Framing & rough-in

Insulated stud walls off the foundation, dedicated circuits, and any new plumbing before inspection.

04

Drywall & ceilings

Hung and finished, with access panels or a drop ceiling where valves and cleanouts need to stay reachable.

05

Finishes

Flooring, trim, doors, lighting, bar or bath, and paint — then final inspection and sign-off.

Common Questions

Basement Finishing, Answered

My basement gets damp — can it still be finished?

Only after the water is handled. We'll tell you what's needed and won't frame over an active problem.

Do I need an egress window?

If you're adding a bedroom, yes. We cut, install, and window-well it as part of the job.

Can you add a bathroom down there?

Yes, including up-flush systems when the drain line sits above the floor.
