How a Custom Carpentry Project Job Runs

01

Design the piece

We measure the space and sketch the built-in, mantel, or trim package against your ceiling height and sightlines.

02

Material selection

Paint-grade poplar and MDF, or white oak, walnut, and maple when the grain is the point.

03

Build in place

Boxes and frames assembled on site so they fit walls that are never perfectly square.

04

Trim & reveals

Casing, crown, and panel layout set so every reveal and miter lines up across the room.

05

Finish

Filled, caulked, sanded, and primed — sprayed finish available for a factory-smooth result.

Common Questions

Custom Carpentry Projects, Answered

Is built-in cheaper than buying furniture?

Not always — but it fits the wall exactly, never moves, and adds real value to the room.

Can you match existing trim?

Yes. If the profile isn't stocked anymore we have it milled to match.

Painted or stained?

Painted for a clean, quiet look; stained white oak when you want the room to feel warm. We'll show samples in your light.
