The Project

What We Were Asked to Build

A blank hallway nook rebuilt as a millwork feature — a charcoal paneled cabinet run, white oak floating shelves, and picture-frame molding carried around the room.

The homeowner wanted the hallway to feel intentional and connected to the rest of the first floor's trim package.

Problem & Solution

The Challenge

The nook was not square and the ceiling had a slight bow. Built-ins had to be scribed to look straight.

Our Solution

We snapped level lines and built the cabinet carcass to the room, then applied scribe moldings where the walls met the cabinets. The shelves were leveled independently of the walls.

The hallway went from wasted space to the first thing people compliment.
