Panel Molding & Level-5 Finish
What We Were Asked to Build
Walls skim-coated to a level-5 finish, then dressed with applied panel molding, new casing, and crown — a flat, seam-free surface that holds paint without flashing.
The homeowner was repainting and wanted walls that looked like plaster, with crisp molding details that matched the home's character.
The Challenge
The existing walls had been painted many times with different sheens, creating visible texture that would show through a level-5 finish.
Our Solution
We sanded the walls to a uniform surface, skim-coated the entire room, and sanded again before priming. The result is a flat, even finish that takes paint beautifully.
On-Site Photos
“The walls look like they were always meant to be this smooth. No flashing, no seams, just clean paint.”
